SPJ Georgia was well represented at the SPJ Leadership Institute, held July 17–19 in Indianapolis. Chapter President Katja Ridderbusch, incoming Vice President Joshua Wilson and incoming at-large Board member Jennifer McKee were selected to join the program’s 2026 cohort following its return after a multiyear hiatus.

The immersive, hands-on training combined practical governance sessions with scenario-based workshops designed to strengthen the strategic, organizational and interpersonal skills needed to lead effectively at the chapter, community, regional and national levels.

After several days of exchanging ideas, brainstorming solutions and connecting with SPJ leaders from 14 chapters across the country, the Georgia delegates returned inspired, energized and ready to put new ideas into action for SPJ Georgia.
