And thank you to Jackson “Lee” Peters for throwing his hat in the ring! Jackson “Lee” Peters is a senior at Kennesaw State University and current president of the KSU student chapter.
Born and raised in Cartersville, Ga., Lee caught the journalism bug while serving as the sports reporter, social media manager and editor of the Cartersville High School student newspaper nearly 10 years ago. Originally attending KSU for a business degree, Lee dropped out in 2022 to work full time.
He is now back at Kennesaw majoring in journalism and emerging media with a minor in political science. He earned President’s and Dean’s List honors in four straight semesters. He would like to establish a career in investigative and/or data journalism.
As student representative, Lee’s goal is to support student chapters across Georgia. He is motivated to help fellow students build professional skills and connections.
Besides attending college, Lee currently works as a sales representative and team lead for a State Farm agent in Vinings.
