Part 2: Safety & Security for Journalists

Join us for part 2 of our “Safety & Security for Journalists” workshop series — Staying Safe in the Field.

This hands-on, interactive training will give you actionable tips on physical safety — whether you’re reporting on conflicts and civil unrest, working the general assignment beat or editing in the newsroom.

Our instructor brings 20+ years of combined experience in public safety and corporate security and will cover situational awareness, active attacker response, first aid basics, protest & field safety

Part 1 of this workshop was held online on March 12. It taught how to maintain safety and security online, protect devices and stay ahead of online threats.
